Trimmed of front and rear platforms and seats, 2612 body awaits primer coat in the last stage of its transformation from trolley car to diner.

 

 

Side by side with the hulk of 2699, 2612 is witness to hash and egg breakfasts and ham and bean dinners. The site is at the northwest corner of Doremus Avenue and Wilson Avenue, Newark, now (1997) an empty lot. Wilson Avenue was named after President Woodrow Wilson during World War I. The former name was "Hamburg Place".
